SaferBaby is designed with privacy as a core principle. We believe parents should be able to use a baby safety app without worrying about their child's personal information being collected, shared, or sold.

This Privacy Policy explains what information SaferBaby collects (very little), how it is used, and your rights regarding that information.

Child Profiles: Names, dates of birth, health conditions, and notes that you enter are stored locally on your device only. This data is never transmitted to SaferBaby servers or any third party.

Product Scans: When you scan a product barcode, the barcode number is sent to our product database to retrieve safety information. We do not associate barcode lookups with individual users or child profiles.

Usage Analytics: We may collect anonymous, aggregated usage statistics (e.g., number of scans per day) to improve the app. This data cannot be used to identify you or your family.

We do not collect:

• Your name, email address, or contact information
• Your location or GPS data
• Your child's health information (stored only on your device)
• Payment information (SaferBaby is free)
• Device identifiers for advertising purposes

Because child profile data never leaves your device, there is no server-side risk of your family's sensitive information being compromised. Product barcode lookups are transmitted over HTTPS and are not linked to any user account.

SaferBaby uses open-source product databases (Open Food Facts, Open Beauty Facts, Open Products Facts) to retrieve ingredient and safety information. These services do not receive any personal information about you or your children.

SaferBaby is designed for use by parents and caregivers, not by children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Child profile data entered by parents is stored locally and never transmitted.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted in this document with a new "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
